Our Business

TAO-Antiques is a net-centric business owned and operated by Don and Nancy Johnson.

We sell a wide variety of antiques and collectibles through online auction sites such this one and eBay.

We also have a shop at the Cottage Pines Antiques store in Somerset Pennsylvania. 

We offer a large inventory of vintage photographs, prints, postcards, magazines, toys, ceramics, tools, clothing, purses, jewelry, and other antiques and ephemera through the TAO Network.

We also buy antiques and collectibles from around the globe online and also through acquisitions of estates and auctions in South West Pennsylvania.

By the way: TAO is a double entendre.  The three letters are an acronymn for "Thou Art Old".

Who We Are

Don retired after 30 years of Government service.  He has studied painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture for over thirty years. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters Degree. He has traveled the world studying art, culture, media, and crafts, collecting thousands of rare and beautiful pieces along the way.

Nancy is trained as a scientist and systems analyst. She currently leads the development of an transformational prototype  for the Department of Defense called the Immersive Learning Environments (ILES). Nancy has lived in South West Pennsylvania most of her life and has learned the antique business from her father Mickey D'Arrigo.

Together Don and Nancy have been collecting and selling antiques for several decades.
